Dennis completed echoes for soprano and piano, which will be premiered on Tues., August 19 by soprano Julia Turnbull and pianist Matthew Stephens as a part of the 2008 Staunton Music Festival.
New Commissions
Dennis has received several new commissions: two song cycles for voices and harp for Megan Sesma, Patricia Schuman, and David Pittsinger; a violin and piano duo for violinist Roger Zahab; and a work for piccolo trumpet and strings for David Glukh.
Young Artist Performances
As a part of the Staunton Music Festival Young Artist Program, Dennis will sing Chester Biscardi's Modern Love Songs and excerpts from David Del Tredici's Gay Life with pianists Robert Barrett and Matthew Stephens, respectively.
Hegemony
Dennis will be singing in the world premiere performance of Roger Zahab's opera Hegemony in Spring 2009 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, NYC
