Songs of Love & Madness

The IonSound Project in Pittsburgh, PA will be performing Songs of Love & Madness on March 21.  Rob Frankenberry, who performed on the premiere of the piece will again be the pianist for the performance.

Listening

I’ve finished the ”Listening” page of the site.  There are four pieces available for listening: till night is overgone, Sweet Briar Songs, And He’ll Be Mine, and Songs of Love & Madness.  More recordings will be added as they become available.

New Work

I’ve begun work on a new piece for cello and piano to be performed on the April 2008 Tobenski-Algera Concerts.

I will also be revising Starfish at Pescadero for performance in September by Percussia on another T-A Concert.

Staunton Music Festival

I’ve been invited to be a part of the first Young Composer Program at the Staunton Music Festival in August 2008.  For the festival, I’ll be writing a new song cycle for soprano and piano on texts by poet Mark Statman.

I have also been asked to perform Chester Biscardi’s Modern Love Songs at the Festival.
