I’m starting two new short-ish works for voice(s) and harp.  I’ve gotten permission from the Kenneth Koch estate to set six of his poems to fulfill the commissions I’ve gotten from Megan Sesma.  The two works will be titled at least a moment and plenty of time.  I’ll begin serious work on them while I’m in Staunton, VA for the Staunton Music Festival these next two weeks.  I’m hoping to finish the first cycle of three songs while I’m there, and come away with formal/motivic ideas for the second set.  Now let’s hope that this commissioning grant goes through….
